English Language Training
for Hospitality Careers

Want to improve your English for a career in hospitality? CALV’s English as a Second Language (ESL) programs help students build a strong foundation in English communication. From Basic ESL, students can advance their language skills in our Guest Room Attendant PLUS or Kitchen Steward PLUS programs, supporting workplace readiness and practical skills for hospitality careers. Together, these programs help students build confidence communicating effectively on the job and in everyday life.

Campus: Las Vegas
Financial Aid: ESL is offered at no cost to eligible students. Tuition-based options are available for GRA PLUS and KS PLUS programs.

English as a Second Language Program Offerings

Length: 4 weeks
Description: Build a foundation in English with practical lessons in reading, speaking, listening, and writing. Prepare for the next step—CALV’s Vocational English programs.
Requirements Age 17+, valid ID, English assessment
Cost: No cost

Length: 4 weeks
Description: GRA PLUS combines hands-on hospitality training with training development to prepare students for the Guest Room Attendant role. Students develop both technical housekeeping skills and essential workplace communication skills through applied learning.
Requirements: Age 17+, valid ID, Social Security Card, English assessment
Cost:  $1,600 (tuition assistance available for qualifying students) | No charge for employer partner team members

Length 4 Weeks
Description KS PLUS combines hands-on hospitality training with training development to prepare students for the Kitchen Steward role. Students develop both technical stewarding skills and essential workplace communication skills through applied learning.
Requirements Age 17+, valid ID, Social Security Card, English assessment
Cost $1,600 (tuition assistance available for qualifying students) | No charge for employer partner team members
