Our 12 vocational training programs are licensed by the Nevada Commission on Postsecondary Education. Our 35 employer partners from the Las Vegas Strip consider a CALV certificate of completion equivalent to one year of job experience. Eligible Culinary Union Local 226 and Bartenders Union Local 165 members qualify for free training as part of their union benefits package.
Students learn how to make beds, adhere to proper cleaning methods and chemical usages, check rooms, stock GRA carts, and follow proper safety responsibilities. Students gain applied learning experience in CALV’s mock hotel rooms.
Length: 89 hours
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 2:30pm
Program Requirements: Minimum age 18-years-old; valid driver’s license/state ID, Social Security card; must be able to communicate effectively in English or complete VESOL or ESL class, as recommended

Students gain applied learning experience in deep cleaning of various surfaces, including concrete, carpet, and tile.

Program Requirements: Minimum age 21-years-old; valid driver’s license/state ID, Social Security card; must be able to lift 50 pounds and to control utility equipment weighing up to 250 pounds; must be able to communicate effectively in English or complete VESOL or ESL class, as recommended
