Vocational English for Speakers of Other Languages

Applicants for whom English is a second language take written and oral assessment tests at orientation to determine whether they have the English language proficiency to go directly into a vocational class or whether they need to start with our Vocational English for Speakers of Other Languages (VESOL). This course addresses the vocational language needs of non-native English speakers who plan to enter the hospitality industry. It is designed to help students communicate effectively with hotel guests, supervisors, and co-workers while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer service. Our goal is to prepare students not just for entry-level positions, but also for advancement within the hotel and the industry.

To learn more about our training, call (702) 924-2100 or come to orientation, offered every Monday at 10 a.m. in our events center.
